Having been an avid user of the mighty 01X from Yamaha, I was gutted when they stopped updating the drivers and made the console obsolete.... so went in search of a solution.

The upgrade consists of turning the Midi control signals for Remote Mode that only exist within the firewire connection into a regular Midi In/Out. This gives you back the ability to use it for your DAW control once again and make use of the screen, pages and flying faders.
Unfortunatly the soundcard side of the unit still cant be accessed but you can still use the 8 analog inputs, the analog outs and the FX , SPDIF and DSP.
